The fox

When my daughter and I arrived at the allotment yesterday evening, there was a vixen and her cub in the parking area. Clearly, she was anxious to protect her baby – at the same time she seemed a bit curious. As for the cub, it just skipped along, unconcerned.

It’s a shame my phone camera doesn’t have a zoom facility but perhaps you can still see a fox in the background?! No doubt there will be more photo opportunities in the future. In the short term, this pair kept my daughter happy while I popped along to the plot: maybe they would come back….

About Helen

I have always been interesting in living a more environmentally friendly lifestyle and used to do what I could. Now, I have come to realise that we have reached such a point in terms of environmental degradation that it is more important - perhaps - to focus on building resilience. I therefore do as much as I can to reuse, grow my own and encourage a supportive community, for example. I also keep reading and learning all the time.

  1. I can see them. How exciting.

  2. Karen says:

You can see the fox in your photo. Having a fox nearby should keep mice and other critters out of the allotment and that is a very good thing.
