Warm coffee on a warm day

After the seemingly long wait for some sunshine, woke up this morning to clear, bright skies. Hurray!

It was actually 23.5°C at the allotment today and I got a lot of weeding, as well as some digging done. I really wanted to be planting but my tomatoes aren’t quite ready and I’m waiting to see how much space they need now.

Anyway, it was a pleasing to rest for a while and find that my coffee had stayed warm in the car…. Normally, it is stone-cold by the time I get to drink it!

About Helen

I have always been interesting in living a more environmentally friendly lifestyle and used to do what I could. Now, I have come to realise that we have reached such a point in terms of environmental degradation that it is more important - perhaps - to focus on building resilience. I therefore do as much as I can to reuse, grow my own and encourage a supportive community, for example. I also keep reading and learning all the time.

Our weather is the opposite, we had a sunny week until today, when it bucketed down, but the soil needed it.So no gardening today 😦
