Alternative to a greenhouse

Looks like I am onto Plan B with the greenhouse saga. It’s too windy to risk putting the new cover on the greenhouse frame and at least one of my tomato plants really didn’t want to be in a pot any longer.

At the same time, I have two homemade growbags that I was hoping to put to good use. So, what’s a woman gonna do?

Well, the first thing was to give the tomato plant most in need of growing space for its roots a new home. Then it was time to bring out one of the cloche to keep it warm. This will only work while the plant is small enough to fit under but I have a cunning plant. To be revealed at a later date. In other words, if the plan thus far works…..

About Helen

I have always been interesting in living a more environmentally friendly lifestyle and used to do what I could. Now, I have come to realise that we have reached such a point in terms of environmental degradation that it is more important - perhaps - to focus on building resilience. I therefore do as much as I can to reuse, grow my own and encourage a supportive community, for example. I also keep reading and learning all the time.
