I knew there was a reason for staying up way past my bedtime……

The barbecue went out and some grilling was done at a friend’s birthday party this afternoon, but we stayed inside to eat. It was decidedly chilly. On the other hand, though rain threatened, none came. So, I presumed it would be like Saturday; another dull day when the ground just got that bit drier.

And then, what did I hear but the sound of substantial water droplets pounding against the windowpanes. What joy!

Now, I may be able to get some long-awaited planting done. Well, not tonight – the morning will be fine 🙂
