I’m so amazed by the progress the lupins are making, I couldn’t resist sharing their growth with you.
I don’t have a large amount of space on my windowsills, so it is particularly good news that these are so fast growing. The plan therefore is to pot them on once lupin no. 6 has germinated and then put them outside, at least during the day until they have hardened off.
In the meantime, I managed to find a corner on another windowsill to sow some courgettes. Last year, only one plant out of six survived, due to a very cold start to the summer. Hopefully, 2016 will not see a repeat of those conditions, though I was impressed with the number of fruit the one plant produced (and I am still eating some of them in the piccalilli made at Christmas!).
