After the rosemary had to come indoors on Wednesday evening in order to shelter from the storm (which wasn’t really more than a bit blowy where we are), it needed to get outside as soon as possible.
Thus, having woken up at the unearthly hour of half five this morning, as soon as it was light I got the spade out. And then I noticed a strawberry plant which had decided to house itself in the rosemary’s dedicated spot.
This could conveniently be moved to the strawberry bed just a few inches to the side. More problematic might be the dandelion, whose root goes deeper than I can dig.
Never mind, the rosemary bush is now secured in the ground. And is under the gas boiler flue. I recently learned that rosemary suffers in the cold ( I do query this as mine survived the Beast from the East earlier this year) but it should be snug in this position.
