I’ve been asked to write another post in my app in order to see if there is a comments box this time. Fortuitously, I found a variety of bulbs this afternoon, which were on my garden shopping list, so I have something to post about.
The first, the garlic, is a new variety for me and hopefully will be a good producer. The tulips I hope will add to the splendour which greeted me this year in late spring and the crocuses should hold the fort till the tulips get going.
Today has been quite grim weather-wise, so the thought of spring flowers is particularly pleasing.
It’s always lovely to look forward to spring!
Indeed 😊
I remember crocus blooming next to the melting piles of snow…
They are lovely aren’t they! We don’t get snow particularly but they are welcome in the January/February gloom.
I wonder if they could be grown in pots in Texas…
Why would you be growing them in pots? Because of your balcony? Anyway, you can but try – I don’t know if they need the cold and dark to thrive.
Yes, that’s why I was wondering. Guess I’ll do some research on this!
That’s a good idea!
