Eight years

Today, I received an email from WordPress, congratulating me on blogging with them for eight years. Goodness, these eight years have passed quickly and WordPress has become such a fixture in my life, I really can’t imagine not blogging now.

So, what have I got to say apart from that? Well, tempted by a Tweet from Hodmedod the other day, I ended up ordering nearly £100 worth of goodies from them. They were only selling in 5kg packs (the items that I wanted), so I think we are good for a year in chickpeas, rye grains, split green peas and olive green lentils. Bliss!

I’ve also acquired more fodder for the Green Johanna in the way of cardboard box and, in due course, paper bags, though I will try and use the latter for as many times as possible before they become compost.

About Helen

I have always been interesting in living a more environmentally friendly lifestyle and used to do what I could. Now, I have come to realise that we have reached such a point in terms of environmental degradation that it is more important - perhaps - to focus on building resilience. I therefore do as much as I can to reuse, grow my own and encourage a supportive community, for example. I also keep reading and learning all the time.
