I’ve been making string bags for a few weeks now, first with cotton yarn bought at my local haberdasher’s. Then I was in the vicinity of the Sue Ryder shop in North Leeds, a charity shop with an extensive haberdashery section.
The upshot was that I came out with a bag of yarns, one of which was a purple chenille, which has been used to create this bag.

The bag is lightweight and roomy, so useful for carrying your groceries.
